The Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition is an international business competition designed to bring together later stage entrepreneurial companies with local, national and international investors.
It showcases the best and brightest new business concepts to investment capital to help foster their growth within Michigan. Targeting entrepreneurs with mid-to-late seed entrepreneurial businesses, the competition has an immediate and positive impact on Michigan’s economy. In 2011, sixty one venture capitalists from forty five firms judged the competition – providing a great network across the country as well as constructive feedback to help the participating companies in their persistent drive for excellence. New features this year include investor speed dating and a high tech job fair.

Ann Arbor SPARK's biannual Entrepreneur Boot Camp is a two-day intensive program that teaches how to identify critical issues in business plans and is an instructive way to gain critical feedback and advice about business models, managment teams, competitive positioning, market strategies, and other key elements that determine if a start-up will succeed or fail.
